About me

I am an experienced and qualified teacher, performer and examiner of music. I graduated from Trinity College of Music London in 1997 after studying guitar with the likes of Gilbert Biberian, Nicola Hall, Alan Neave, Nikita Koshki, Ricardo Iznaola and David Tanenbaum to name but I a few. In addition I studied piano with Raymond Banning and accordion with the late John Leslie. My performing and work as a Trinity College London examiner has taken me throughout the world, as far afield as South Africa, Argentina and India. I graduated from Trinity College of Music London in 1997 and have been teaching and performing both locally and internationally ever since. I have taught in both primary and secondary schools in Cumbria including teaching GCSE and A level classes. Many of my students have gone on to gain scholarships to study music at prestigious music schools such as St Mary’s. A number have students have gone on to study music at conservatoire level at Trinity College of Music in London and Manchesters Royal Northern College of music. Previous students also include UK champions. I was on the panel that chose the pieces for a previous classical guitar syllabus for Trinity College London and I currently examine both classical musicians and for the Rock and Pop exams taken all over the world.
